HMDSO plasma coated by PECVD process on automotive lights -- with MF power discharge. 

 

For car lighting PVD coating solutions, the coating process had experienced a change from complicated process till the advanced technique.

HMDSO Coating Technologies on each steps:


1) Plasma Ionization Pre-treatment -- glow discharging, standard gas is Argon and N2 is for optional. 
2) PECVD reaction -- HMDSO base coating to enhance the adhesion between substrate and Aluminum layer. 
3) Aluminum thermal evaporation 
4) PECVD reaction -- HMDSO top coating 
3. Steps 1, 2 & 3 are regarded as essential pre-treatment before PVD coating, also is a guarantee of a high quality coatings.
4. 1) If lights are produced with high class moulds, and no need primer coating, lights can be put into the Vacuum Metallizer directly,
the coating processes: HMDSO---> Aluminum Metallizing---> HMDSO
2) If the lights surface are not smooth, the primer coating is required, so following the step 4 and 5,
the coating process: Aluminum Metallizing--->HMDSO
